Area cleared. The tables were put up on Wednesday. The tables were part of the mission team from St Kentigern School in Auckland. 44 adults and children arrived in Port Vila on Saturday for a weeks mission trip . One of the tasks was to paint the containers for the cafe and install the tables and chairs. Well done team it looks good.
And of course time to relax at the end of a good afternoons work, with some kaekae (food). The table was painted by the St Kentigerns team. Around the table form left to right, Sarafina, Leinagis, Elder Job, Jessy, Jenita and Elder Johnny. (and pikininis in the background)
The cassava plant was dug up and the roots are to be cooked. The pile of tubers is about a metre across.
The cassava cooked wrapped in island cabbage. It is very yummy. Thank you PCV staff
