Korvan  Training Centre Thank you to PCV Staff for support during the Village Health Worker Programme -Friday 13th July

On Friday Korvan Training Centre hosted the PCV staff for a thank you for the support during the VHW Training.  In case you are wondering Korvan is a combination of the two country names of Korea and Vanuatu.  This is a joint cooperation training centre from both country's Presbyterian Churches

Elder Jara Bani from  Korvan and leader for the VHW welcomed staff and thanked them

Pastor Allen Nafuki presented Lolona (Lulu) Rabearimino gifts and appreciation for her work assisting Annette and Nicola during the VHW training. (Lulu is in Vanuatu with her husband and daughter, they are from Madagascar.)

Annette had the honour of presenting thank you gifts to various departments in the PCV. Elder Melody Avok receives the gift on behalf of the PWMU

Jessy receives the gift on behalf of PCV Health (she has one of her daughters hiding behind her in this photo)

Elder Jonathan Tarip receiving the gift on behalf of the PCV Education Authority

Laplap cut up and ready to eat. The laplap is wrapped in banana leaves to cook it. It is cooked in a way similar to a Maori hangi with hot stones.

Table of food, there were several variations of laplap.  Some laplap had manioc or taro as the main ingredient, then mixed with either  chicken, beef or banana. Here Elder Cyrilline,  Elder Job and Sarafina prepare the table. There were salads as well as the laplap.
