Sunday Service at PMC
Yesterday we decided it was high time we visited a local church, so we went to Paton Memorial Church, which is right beside the PCV office where we work. The service was partly in Bislama but the sermon was in English, and co-incidentally the sermon was given by Pastor Allen, our boss. He is not the regular pastor of this church.
There were several visitors there, mostly from Australia, and we were all very warmly welcomed. We had to stand out on the porch after the service and the whole congregation filed past and shook all of our hands.
The church has doors all along both sides so there was a lovely breeze coming through. The choir sang an item while the offering was being taken up.

Can you work out which well known hymn this is (without reading the second line of writing just under the title)?
The hymn board on the left reminds me of Knox 40 years ago. It was a very traditional service, but it was lovely. The hymns were all unaccompanied, started off by one man singing the first line or phrase, then everyone joining in in 4-part harmony.
