Hideaway Island

 Gloria and Neville took us to Hideaway Island today for some rest and recovery from the heat and illness. It is a short boat ride from Mele beach, about 15 minutes drive from Vila.

 There is a small resort on the island, and good snorkeling.

 The water was so lovely, I had long lazy sit in the shallows, and fish were coming up to me even there. Of course the more spectacular ones were out on the reef a little way out but I didn't feel up to snorkeling. Martyn had a lovely rest on the beach in the shade.

 The grey clouds cleared away, no rain today.

On the way home, we did a big provisioning shop at the big supermarket. I now have baking supplies, so let there be cake!
